| What happens if I don't connect to the server prior to my next match? |
| We advise you to review your team selection and game plan before every match, however if you do miss a connection there is no need to worry as the server will attempt to play the last team and game plan that you submitted. Obviously, if an injury or suspension has occurred this may not always be possible and will therefore leave you at a disadvantage. |

| What part of the game is the most important to achieve a win? |
| This is the 64 million dollar question! Everything you do in the game has an affect on the final match results however, the short answer would be to pay attention to training and your game plans. |

| How do I know when I should connect to the server? |
| We recommend that you connect to the server before each match to update your team selection and game plans. If you've made some changes to the transfer market it would also be a good idea to connect at that time. A good indicator is the connect icon on the main screen which lights-up to notify you when you need to submit any changes. |

| How long does a connection take? |
| This obviously depends on the speed of your internet connection. With a 56K modem we hope to keep connection times below 2 minutes and more typically for them to be below 1 minute. |

| Are all the acceptable values for player's the same? |
| No. |

| How do I make sure a player is within acceptable values? |
| This, as in real life is always a balancing act. You need to balance the players current rating with his potential. |

| Why can't I sell a player for any value I like? |
| The value you are allowed to enter must be within the player's actual value plus or minus a pre-determined percentage. This may not sound ideal but it avoids people cheating and adds an extra level of strategy. |

| In the “Options/Network” what is the game and chat host? |
| The game and chat host is the internet address of the FdM server, this is what takes your tactics and generates the matches you watch. Unless you’ve been advised otherwise you should always have both these values set to fdm.ticktockgames.com. |

| How do I connect to the server? |
| To play FdM the only real requirement is you have a working broadband/dialup connection. To connect to the server, press the telephone button on the calendar. If you are using dial-up for your internet connection which is not active the game will now minimise and your dial-up connection window will be displayed. |

| I'm connected to the internet but where has the game gone? |
| If it was necessary to initialise your dial-up connection the game will have minimised to your toolbar. To go back into the game, move your mouse to the bottom of your screen and click on the game name and it will re-appear. |

| Do I need a client for each manager? |
| No, you only need one client per machine. For each manager to access their data simply change the nickname and password on the first screen. |

| What details do I need to play the game using the client? |
| You will need your Managers Nickname and your Password (the same details you used to logon to this website). |

| Error Connection to chat server failed. Please try again later. Explaination If you've recieved the above error message it means that the Chat Server is currently not accepting connections from Chat Clients. Although we will try our best to keep things running for as long as possible, it must be remebered that occasionally we will need to make updates or perform maintenance to the server. |

| Error Failed to load emotions text. Explaination If you've recieve the above error message it means the emotions.txt file has failed to load. Providing you have recieved no further error messages then you should still be able to chat with you fellow managers. |

| Channel name must not have spaces. |
| Error Channel name must not have spaces. Explaination You have tried to create a channel or room which has spaces in the name. Like nicknames, the channel/room names are not allowed to have spaces in. We recommend that you use an underscore. |

| Error Nick already in use. Need nick. Explaination This error means that there is someone already in chat who is using the nickname you have chosen. To get around this error and start chatting please type the following into the message field: /NICK Where |

| How do I create my own channel? |
| Type the name of the channel you wish to create in the create/join channel text field and press enter. This will either create you a new channel with the name you specified or join you to another channel by the same name. |

| How to send a private message to another user in chat? |
| Simply select the person you want to send the private message to from the list of users. This will send private messages to the person you've selected until such time as you change the user selected back to 'ALL' or that user leaves the channel. |

| Nick must not have spaces. |
| Error Nick must not have spaces. Explaination You have tried to change you nickname in chat to something with a space in it. The chat does not like spaces so we recommend you use underscores instead. Please not that any changes made to your nicknames in chat are temporary and only effect your current chat session. |

| What does the @ sign mean? |
| The @ sign denotes the owner of the current channel. If the @ sign appears next to your name then this means you created the channel, or that you are the user who has been on the channel for the longest period of time. |

| How do I change the channel I'm on? |
| Simply scroll through the list of channels available and select one by clicking with your mouse. This will join you to your chosen channel. Alternatively you may type in a room name in the create/join channel text field and press enter. |
